Kathy Scott
I have lived in the Pacific Northwest all my life. Born at the Tongue Point Naval Base in Astoria, Oregon I spent the first year of my life in an orphanage while my father was in the Coast Guard serving our country before, during, and after the Korean conflict. I now live in Arlington, WA with my sister. My daughter and young granddaughter live right around the corner and are a loving constant in my life.
I started working for the Social Security Administration right after graduating High School in 1976. I have worked at the 800#, both giving information and being a Technical Advisor and Instructor/Supervisor for 17 years. The last 11 years were in the Everett, WA office where I processed and paid benefits under Social Security Disability, Retirement and Survivors benefits as well as SSI Disabled (Adults and Children) and Aged benefits.
After 34 years of employment, I retired July 30, 2010. I enjoyed my lifetime career of helping people getting the benefits they were entitled to. I am now happy to bring my experience and continue that line of work here at Russell and Hill.
Past Employment Positions:
Technical Advisor – Social Security Administration – Washington
Instructor – Social Security Administration – 15 years – Oregon & Washington
Claims Representative – Social Security Administration – 13 years – Kennewick, WA and Everett, WA
