Pedestrian crash leads to DUI arrest

On May 24, 2020, a pedestrian was struck as he tried to cross lanes of traffic on Evergreen Way south of 112th street. The victim in this crash was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center. In this case, there was no crosswalk where the pedestrian attempted to cross the highway.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian continued north and pulled into the parking lot of the nearby AM/PM store. After the driver failed sobriety tests, they were arrested and charged with driving under the influence. A detective with the Everett police Traffic Safety Unit was dispatched to the scene to help investigate the pedestrian versus car portion of the incident.
